reflected-version and reflected-at when
present. When the source is visible, Radar compares its observed resource version
with the mirror’s recorded version. These cached observations can lag reconciliation.
This is metadata evidence, not a content or
health check: metadata-only changes advance source versions, and editing a mirror
can leave its recorded version unchanged. Mirror details and Secret edit confirmation
explain that local changes may persist until a source update overwrites them.
Configuration checks: local warnings identify malformed or self-referencing
source declarations, invalid boolean settings, automatic creation without reflection
permission, sources with visible mirrors but disabled reflection, and mirror chains that do not propagate updates as ordinary sources.
These appear in resource details, not as cluster-wide health findings.
Topology: when both objects are visible, the mirror’s reflects annotation
creates a Reflects to configuration edge from source to mirror, including mirrors
with a different name. It represents a declaration, not Kubernetes ownership or
successful synchronization. Namespace filters apply. Secret nodes are hidden by
default and require Secret list access when included. The REST resource-detail relationship response also
identifies reflection sources and mirrors explicitly.
Agent context (MCP and REST): get_resource and the REST AI resource context expose an optional resourceContext.reflection block. It separates declaredSource from an authorized observed source, includes recorded copy metadata and the authorized source resource version, and lists up to 20 visibleMirrors with truncated when more authorized mirrors were observed. This lookup spans namespaces in the available cache independently of the resource-context graph. Unreadable endpoints and their versions are withheld; omitted-field reasons describe unavailable cache evidence or denied access. These observations do not prove complete distribution or synchronization health.
Partial visibility: unavailable sources are not called missing, and visible mirror
counts are not expected totals. Radar does not diagnose absent mirrors, name conflicts,
controller availability, or synchronization lag. Controller configuration and version
can further restrict eligible namespaces. Inspect controller logs when a declared
relationship is not being reconciled.
